HELLO OUT THERE!!!
I haven't actually died. As you might have noticed [or might not have] I posted some random art the other week

I haven't been bothered to sit and write a new journal in SO long because I haven't been at my computer desk, rather in bed with my laptop. It's become a bad habbit of late because of my PC making a terrible sound... [something to do with the graphics card methinks] and then I was sick and couldn't manage to sit at my desk D:
It's quite odd being back on my PC opposed to sitting in bed with my netbook. My PC is still making a god-awful sound... but I'll get my mate to check that out when i remember to harass him about it. LOL. But using a PROPER keyboard is needing some getting used to LOL. So if there are any MASSIVE typos here today in this journal... it's because I'm readjusting to using a real-size keyboard

So in the time that I have been absent, a bit has happened but NOT that much that'd be interesting to you guys XD Work is getting HEAPS busy [working in a shopping centre, Coles, and it almost being Christmas etc] School holidays are on now and the place is crawling with 100% more people then usual >.< I may have mentioned being sick, well it was the chicken pox. that had me out of commission for a few weeks. it was awful to say the least.. I will NEVER complain about having the flu EVER again. LOL.
In other news, I've made some new friends at work, one of which I'm going to move out with early next year. That's sorta exciting to be thinking about C: Not so much all the money I will have to spend, but learning to be more responsible etc for myself. [Also, one of said new friends is into anime but doesn't like to admit it... I'm hoping to crack her out of that shell and nerd it up a lot more in the new year- she also seemed to respond when I was talking about Cosplay... I think that I am onto something here XD] Also early next year I am looking forward to going to my first music festival! LOL. It's called Soundwave- it sounds like it's going to be EPIC. I WILL definately be taking photos of that when I go~ [yeah, i know i say that about everything but this time I REALLY MEAN IT] haha

Since it's December now, I suppose this'll be my MERRY CHRISTMAS post also. I intend to get my arse into gear and make a deviation relating to Christmas, whether it's a photo or something textile or a drawing I dunno yet, but i'll try to get into the Christmas spirit... TRY.
I do hope that all my watchers have a bloody awesome holiday season~!
[I'll be working Boxing Day for no extra pay... yay?! <__< WTF]

Art/ Writing
I get really excited about wanting to draw a certain thing and then I distract myself away from it... LOL but there is proof that I still draw stuff XD I really want to get some new images of my MCP cast drawn.. but I can't see myself motivating to do that in the next month or so
I was doing a bit of writing last night... on and of i get a little bit done but nothing worth posting about- no whole chapters or anything :/ I need some inspiration!


Cosplay/ Textile Stuffs
I cleaned up the "spare room" which in fact is actually pretty much a dumping ground for all things Bexie-textile related. It's been irritating my mum since we moved in and I took it over. Now all fabrics i have are together with other similar stuff. I threw out a bunch of crappy offcuts that I'd been stashing in case I "needed" them for something oneday... Yeah. there was like a WHOLE friggin box of those buggers.
Getting a new cosplay sewn for...winter next year XD it's not something that I'd want to be wearing to Supanova in the hotter months anyways XD I hope that it works out as I have planned. It will certainly be a fun costume to wear ^^

Because THAT is how exciting my life has been of late

I haven't really been posting much stuff up here because i've got myself a blog where i write about my latest artistic feats~! [will post a link if you are interested]
Work is busy: did i mention at all in any of my posts back from NZ that i have now got official Fulltime at work and got a promotion??
WELL, if i didnt. LOL.
i totally got upgraded from 'bakers assistant' to 'cake decorator' which is quite awesome! my hours are SO MUCH BETTER now too. i start at 6-7am and finish anywhere from 2-4pm depending on the day. but its good news because it means that i will be getting definate hours and holiday pay and sick pay etc. is exciting. [not to mention that i don't have to work weekend anymore!! YAY]
but thats about as exciting as life gets for me
We are off to Movie World this weekend for a Halloween Fest thing... i PLAN to take photos... but you know how i always plan things that never happen... LOL. HOPEFULLY i'll got some random/ half decent photos to post. It's been months since i posted anything O_____o

Trying to scribble a little bit. maybe once i get my butt into gear i will get something drawn tho i did make a new version of my caramelldansen Bexie with my new hair colour [red]
and im really into my rewrite of MCP1- ive done chapter 2 and am almost through chapter 3. it's going pretty well, i think. LOL.

I'm, actually, in that aspect wanting to meet more people who are learners like me at cosplay and have meet-ups and stuff. i'm thinking about seeing if i can put a flyer up at NeoTokyo [anime shop in T'bar] seeing if i can find people interested. I wanna meet people who have the same interests and the likes... but i'm afraid if i did that i'd get a bunch of 12-15yr olds [not that there's anything wrong with them... but i'm 21 and it'd feel.. weird]
I'm kinda thinking if i can get a few people to help organise something it'd be cool. But then people are busy and yeah :/ if it's anything like the TAS screenings people will be all keen for it and NOT actually turn up D:
So... i'll leave it as a continued train of thought for now C:

Whelp. Since coming back from NZ i've had a prety shitty month- hense no updates of any kind, since the photos i postd. I haven't read anyone's blogs or looked at any arts that is backed up in my inbox.
Forgive me.

Had Animania on this weekend just past. I did well with my stall... but this time i wasn't the only one there selling hats. There were 2 other stalls... To make it worse... the other people had the same sorta thing as me *cries* i do feel ripped off as i was there first with me hats many cons ago *emo-sigh* but i don't own anything of those sorts so i can't really complain. A bit of competition is healthy C: Next year i will go with BETTER things then just hats... like dolls and costume items~ i look forward to trying out new ideas. Hope to post them up here, if anyone is interested?

I had all intentions to travel off to GenCon on Sunday but never made it as i didn't get to stay in Brisbane overnight and i didnt want to drive all the way back to Toowoomba just to drive back the next day. I only attened 2 cons this year... both being Animania. i feel sad about that. next year i'm going to be putting in more effort not to lose who i am.
Also didn't go to GenCon as i had no one to go with -____- *needs some more geek-friends*

i was going to sit here and rant some more but now that i am eating dinner and watching TV i don't feel so much like it XD *goes off to be lazy in front of the TV*

Life Stuffs
What is amusing me today: they guy on the news just said “and as we sweat through this 31 degree winter day…” yep- that’s Celsius, not Fahrenheit. It’s not even Septmeber here and already funnily enough the South East of Queensland is almost hotter then the North! WTF?!

So, as you may have noticed, I have returned from the most wicked or "Sweet As" place on Earth!
We left Toowoomba early Sunday morning of the 9th. And by early, I’m talking 2am early!And we got back here Wednesday arvo of the 19th.
It’s taken me up until yesterday morning to get my photos posted on my Facebook account. It took me quite sometime to figure out which ones of the collection we had that I liked most of all. I wanted to post them ALL. I can’t submit all the photos that I would like to here, I don’t want to spam everyone to death- so I’ll throw a couple here in this journal and a couple I will post as deviations~
We arrived in Christchurch and after picking up our car we drove straight through to Queenstown. I was awake surprisingly most of the trip- give or take a few minutes here and there when I took a little nap it wasn’t any more exciting then that. It was cold and windy and by the time we got to Queenstown we just wanted to get into bed and sleep for a week [we had been up close to 24hrs by then]
Our first day in Queenstown was spent sussing out the resort that we were staying in, getting our hire gear and finding a shop to buy a few groceries. I found a great Japanese place that I basically lived at for most of my meals until the end of the trip~


We went up to the ski field, Coronet Peak, on a number of the days we were there. It was really awesome to see snow for the first time. Real snow, in any case. One of the days we were up there it started to snow~ that was magical. I didn’t remember to make a snow angel like I had planned but my friend Lauren and I built, quite possibly, the world’s funniest looking snowman- we named him George.


I also tried my hand at snowboarding and took a lesson with that. I needed a month full of lessons to be any good I reckon. I spent almost as much time in the snow then I did staying up-right. I was battered and bruised but it was the most fun and I’m glad that I gave it a go!


We did a number of activities while we were there also, including: Jet boating down the Shotover River, riding a scenic tour on ATVs, the Nevis Arc and finally my epic jump off the Ledge Bungy. I’d totally run away and learn how to drive one of the jet boats. It was simply awesome fun! I got a brain freeze from the wind however The quads were also a new experience for me, the others knew how to drive them because they grew up on farms riding them. Once I got the go of things and got to the top of the trail I was so glad that I had to chance to do it. The views were to die for- I only wish more of my photos weren’t totally blurred D: The Nevis Arc was great fun! I can’t begin to explain just how much- nor can I about the ledge bungy! It was definitely the most fun that I had on the whole trip! I was smiling like an idiot for HOURS afterwards! I’ll definitely go back there and do it all again someday soon~


Then came the day of my new tattoo. Before we had gone over there I'd said that I had wanted to Bungy- some people talked me out of it and I decided that I would get my new tattoo at least instead. The first day we were in Queenstown, we hunted down a tattoo place and made our appointments after much debate over what we were going to get. Well, in the end, after i did the Nevis Arc i couldn't help myself and i just HAD to bungy... so i got both! i was going to get the stars on my leg at first but changed my mind to my foot. i wasn't worried at all about the tattoo itself... but i was worried about moving while i was getting it. it really didn't hurt nearly as much as i had thought that it would! So now once this new one heals i can't wait to get one on my other foot!


A whole bunch more happened- but i'm not going to post the whole lot of my journals that i wrote while we were away- they are iver 13 000 words now! LOL. But i am going to post them up on my livejournal for anyone who is interested C:
Came back Wednesday and dropped into work to pick up my hours for this week… I found out that our main cake decorator was leaving- today was her last day- and that I would be receiving that position as full time decorator if they couldn’t find someone else who was qualified. I’m quite excited about that prospect! So I’ll let you know what happens there, for anyone who is interested C:

but now that I am back I plan to get more done~ once Animania is over I’ve got a whole lot of time on my hands to write! XD

I’ve got some plans for things to make once the con season is over for the year- but I’ll have to see how that all goes C:
